Building Inspections

A Building Inspection and Property report comments on structural damage and conditions conducive to structural damage, as well as any defects in the condition of secondary and finishing elements to the property.

The consultant will inspect all accessible parts of the property.  These areas include:

  • Interior of the building
  • Exterior of the building
  • Roof space
  • Under-floor space
  • Roof exterior
  • Garage, carport and garden shed
  • Separate laundry or toilet
  • Small retaining walls (not structural)
  • Steps, fencing, paths and driveways

The report will contain a description of the property and the materials used in the construction of the property.  The house report will also highlight any areas the inspector was unable to access on the day of the inspection.  Photographs may be provided to show areas of concern.

PEST INSPECTIONS

A timber pest inspection entails a fully licensed inspector completing a visual inspection of all accessible and available areas of the property for the presence of active termites and/or termite damage,  The results in the pest report should include conductive conditions to termite attack, risks and recommendations for a management program.

A termite inspection seeks evidence of termite activity and or termite workings/damage.  Inspections usually include interior and exterior of the home, and any accessible roof cavities & sub floor areas.

The average time for taken for these inspections usually range about 60 minutes, depending upon the size and condition of the property.
